Spoonful of Support
A Spoonful of Support is a community-run meal and grocery support initiative created to help group members who are running low on time, energy, spoons, or food. Whether it’s a tough week or a long-term challenge, this project is here to make sure no one in our circle goes hungry or unsupported.
This is part of the Lost Spoons Project, a mutual aid and care network organized by Corpus Christi+ Feminists. Our goal is to support one another through shared action, compassion, and solidarity. Volunteers prepare, package, and drop off meals anonymously to group members who request them—no judgment, no expectations.

Who Can Request a Spoonful of Support?
If you’re:
– A member of our group or extended community,
– In need of help with meals for yourself or your household,
– Facing burnout, stress, health struggles, low spoons, or tight finances,
…you’re welcome to request support. You’ll be matched anonymously with a volunteer who will drop off food tailored to your dietary needs and preferences.
Who Can Volunteer to Cook or Contribute?
If you’re:
– Someone with a little extra time, energy, or food to share,
– Comfortable prepping and dropping off meals anonymously,
– Interested in food prep, batch cooking, or grocery assistance,
…you can sign up to support one or more folks in the community! You’ll be matched based on the number of people you can provide for, the kind of meals you can offer, and any dietary accommodations you’re able to follow.
You can also help in other ways:
– Donating ingredients, grocery cards, or money
– Sharing supplies (meal containers, coolers, etc.)
– Helping coordinate, pack, or match requests
Want to Pitch In Another Way?
We also welcome:
– Donations of unused food-safe containers
– Financial help for groceries or supplies
– Gift cards for local grocery stores
– Extra kitchen tools or prep gear
– Sharing this project with friends!
